Since its inception, the Coca Cola brand of beverages have always had oppositions and antagonists. In recent months, several videos were uploaded and shared online citing reasons to abstain totally from Coke and its “poisonous” contents. The Coca Cola Company however, keep silencing their oppositions with new strategies. The most recent being the “Share a Coke With” campaign. Now, people who had no intentions of drinking Coke have found themselves scrambling to stores to find one with their name on it. For 129 years, they have successfully maintained and grown their clientele via INNOVATION!
For seventeen (17) years, Dufil Prima was the sole distributor and marketer of noodles in Nigeria. Indomie noodles were sold in 70g packs until Chikki noodles broke into the industry in its 120g pack. If it had tried to compete with Indomie’s 70g pack, it would have probably failed woefully. Indomie noodle, on the other hand still rules the Nigerian noodle industry by improving its brand regularly. It now comes in 250g adult-sized packs, 450g family-sized packs as well as the 120g and 70g packs. Instead of attacking its competitors, it simply became innovative in its packaging and brand advertising.
